How to make Healthy bad..

We try to eat healthy here. Try to. I bake not fry our french fries, chicken, and other things. I always make sure we have a veggie with dinner and that the girls drink plenty of milk and at least snarf down a breakfast bar before school.

But sometimes we have a way of making a healthy food very bad for you.

A couple of nights ago, we made Valentine's Day cookies. I wanted to make them sandwich cookies, so I whipped up a simple cream cheese frosting.

All it is: 4 oz of cream cheese
1/2 stick of butter
2 Cups of powdered sugar
1 tsp of vanilla
dash of milk.

We didn't use all of it on the cookies so I just put it in the fridge. Then I saw the apple slices...
Apples..... frosting.... frosting.... apples...

Soooo good. It tasted alot like that cream cheese fruit dip you get at Wal-Mart. Me and Mary, my youngest sat there just chowing down on some apples and frosting. She licked her fingers and looked at me, "only we could take what is supposed to be good for you and turn it into junk food."

That sounds so yummy! At least you were eating it with apples. Me, I would have just used a spoon...or maybe my fingers.

What a wonderful idea!! If it's any consolation to you..when my bestfriend or I have a particularly bad day, we break out the fried mushrooms and cheese sticks with homemade Ranch dressing, together.

You were right ahead of me on SITS, but I am a slow thinker, so ANASHD posted before me. I couldn't resist dropping by though and happy I did. I am the mom of two grown-up daughters, 25 and 29, so I have been there and survived. Now they are truly two of my best friends. Cream cheese is my all time favorite ingredient. I am pretty darn sure I am addicted to it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Sounds like you got enough snacks to last. *)

Think of it this way: I'll bet the fruit-dip/cookie filling you made is way better for you than the stuff at wal-mart.
