What's On Your Netflix List?

I love love Netflix. It is one of my favorite ways to spend my weekend! I got hooked on Orange is the New Black and binge watched season one and two.
Another one of my favorites was Bomb Girls. I was so mad when they cancelled it and gave us that lame series finale. Anyone else upset with that let down? Here Comes the Midwife is an amazing series. I started reading the books as well.

Here's what's on my Netflix must see list. While I impatiently wait for June and the return of Orange is the New Black!

  1. Heathers: Young Winona Ryder, Christian Slater- The clothes alone are a reason to watch! The Heathers, Veronica, clueless parents- and "I love my dead gay son!"

  2. Labyrinth: This is one of my all time favorite movies as a kid! I was 10 when it came out and was completely traumatized by David Bowie's crotch bulge and his dancing around in tight pants!

  3. The Thing Called Love: River Phoenix, early Sandra Bullock, River Phoenix, Nashville, and did I mention River Phoenix?

  4. The Slap: This is the Australian version that the Americans copied. The Australian version is way better! Didn't realize just how much sex and boobs were shown on Aussie tv!

  5. The Borgias: I have not watched this yet. But my good friend tells me it is amazing! Jeremy Irons is in it and from what I've heard, if you like The Tudors you'll like this one!

I watch alot of documentaries too. 30 Days with Morgan Spurlock is awesome. You might remember him from SuperSize Me. Too bad his show got cancelled too. I think he has another show that is similar on MSNBC or something.

The Kylie Jenner Challenge or Kids Today Are Brain Damaged

Raise your hand if you're sick of seeing any of the Kardashian or Jenner clan on your TV or magazine stands! Bruce can stay, Bruce Jenner is cool.

Unless you've been living under a rock or are Amish, you have to have heard about the newest trend or challenge, The Kylie Jenner Challenge. Teens are using a shot glass to "plump up" their lips to look like a Kylie Jenner.  This is just the latest trend of kids doing brain damaged stuff to get on the internet. Remember the cinnamon challenge?

On Sunday night, the hashtag #kyliejennerchallenge popped up on Twitter. Kylie swears her plump lips are all natural. And one way to get this so called plump look without injections is to put your lips in a shot glass and suck as hard as you can.

Of course since a Kardashian/Jenner girl is sporting a look, every girl or boy has to copy that look.

Just take a look at some of these awesome results:

In reality, all these kids look like this:

I really don't know what is wrong with kids these days. I totally get copying a celeb (I hesitate to call Kylie a celeb) I tried to copy Madonna.I totally rocked some plastic bracelets, lace gloves, and fishnets! But I draw the line at physically harming yourself in order to copy someone else.
Kylie has since tweeted asking people to not harm themselves or try to copy her style, instead she wants them to just be themselves! Even though she said that, ET asked people to send pictures of themselves after they try it.

Kansas City Restaurant Week 2015

Here in Kansas City, we have a thing called KC restaurant week. Different restaurants offer a priced fixed menu to show off their menus and to raise money for different charities.
www.kcrestaurantweek.com

Since my husband and I love to try out new restaurants and try new things, (well, I try more things than he does) we try to hit up a few new places along with some of our friends.
We've gone to 2 so far, and I'll be posting my pics and reviews this week.

Are you adventurous when it comes to food? Or do you like to stay with the tried and true? Let me know. And let me know what restaurant you would like us to try out.
